Youth Center Update

Hooray !!! We have received approval from the county for our building plans for the Youth Center. We had to make some minor modifications to outside appearance of the building (ie more windows, etc) but our basic original concept is still a go ! We want to thank Joe Jadgmann, Joe Gallagher, Mark Hansell and especially Todd Borden for all their hard work in working with the county to move our plans forward.
We have now given the go ahead to our contractor – THS Construction – to work with the architect to do detailed drawings of the structure. This work has to be completed first to determine a good estimate of what the building will cost. We have a working budget and all measures will be taken to stay within the budget going forward. We have a “design-build” relationship with our contractor so we are full partners all through this process.
In the near future we will be posting elevation drawings and floor plan drawings here on the web site and in the milling area. This is an exciting time and we thank everyone for their patience.
Our ceremonial ground breaking is March 7th at 4:45 before the Pasta Dinner Auction!! Please come join us.
