Lay Pastoral Care is about people taking care of people. At Christ Church we do not look only to the clergy to provide prayer, comfort, or guidance when we are in need. We look to each other. Each ministry is led by someone who has displayed significant maturity in their area of care. Training and experience of the members of ministry teams vary according to the task and calling of each ministry. For example, helping out can be as simple as walking a dog or as involved as coming alongside a cancer patient in his or her difficult journey.

If you are looking for a way to become more involved serving our community, and you want to plug into one of our ministries, we look forward to hearing from you as well. Shawl Ministry Shawls knit with love and prayer available in the church office to be given to people who need them. meeting with like-minded knitters and prayers to create fibrous wraps
New Day Ministry - Are you wishing to reach out to others, but not quite sure how to go about it? Then think about becoming a “New Dayer”.
BeFrienders - A group of people especially qualified and trained to journey with others through a difficult life situation
Intercessory Prayer Group - People who pray for specific requests; confidentiality respected
Helping Hands - Cooking food for anyone who needs a meal
Career Transaction Ministry - Are you currently in transition, seeking employment or wishing to change careers?
