Lent Header

We might shy away from a way that leads to the Cross. But when we remember that Jesus’ cross is big enough to embrace our lives, and everything we face, it’s good news. “For God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength." - 1 Corinthians 1:25

At Christ Church, we walk the way together, growing with God, ourselves, and others. This Lent, we offer an array of opportunities to observe this holy season in blessed community. Please join us as we explore

THE WAY OF THE CROSS? YES!...

LENT QUIET DAY
Saturday, April 4, 10 AM

All are invited to a Lenten Quiet Day at beautiful Roslyn on River Road for an opportunity to prepare our hearts and minds for Holy Week. The schedule includes two short meditations led by Sara Vale, Christ Church member and a spiritual director, with quiet reflection times. Participants are free to walk the lovely grounds of Roslyn or sit comfortably in our meeting room or in the chapel. Lunch is provided by Roslyn. The day will close with the Eucharist. Quiet days are designed to help us remove the daily distractions from our minds in order to draw closer to God through prayer, journaling, reading Scripture, walking and/or resting. It’s being with God for several quiet hours when the holy can be experienced in ways we often lose sight of in our busyness. It is especially important as we come to the last days of Lent and journey to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
